The Offshore Fishing Vessel Medical Kit – Supplement (small), configured by OceanMedix, is designed to supplement an existing standard first aid kit on the vessel venturing both offshore or to a remote location with a crew of up to 6 POB, where access to direct professional medical care is not an option.

The Offshore Fishing Vessel Medical Kit – Supplement (small) contains:
– Prescription Medications Module (small)
– Severe Bleeding Management Module small)
– Contained in a Pelican® 1300 Case

The contents of the Prescription Medications Module have been selected, and provided in adequate quantities, for use in almost any first aid or emergency situation that might arise.

The Severe Bleeding Management Module combines two vital products in one pack. When direct pressure does not quell severe bleeding this combination may be a life saver. The haemostatic QuikClot® pouch when packed into the wound will stop the bleeding. The Trauma Wound Dressing / Israeli Bandage is designed to then provide a pressure bandage that can be used to wrap almost any wound.

The Pelican® 1300 Case provides a rock-solid, shock-proof, watertight and crush-proof to store these vital medical supplies in pristine condition, even in the most punishing marine environment.

Each Module is assembled to order, to insure the freshness of each dated prescription medication and medical item; and, provided in a pouch fabricated from rugged 1000 Denier grade nylon with a heavy gauge clear plastic face panel and a heavy duty, self healing, spiral zipper. These pouches are not waterproof and are designed to be included together in the Pelican® 1300 Case.
